Qemu target ssh is not working as intended

The SSH daemon on the QEMU target is not working as intended at the moment. There are a couple of issues:

1. The network configuration port forwarding is not done automatically by the qemu command.
2. The daemon seems broken and not possible to connect to after starting the qemu image.
3. Other issues?

The daemon should work "out of the box" when the QEMU image is started and shall be possible to connect to.
