    Description

      GENIVI has transitioned from a semi-open organization to a real FOSS organization. However there are still some vestigial bits of process still that need to be addressed. For example, GENIVI has an IP review before GENIVI releases a baseline. Its not clear to me if the IP review is necessary before the release of the GDP image. Having an explicit statement from GENIVI that it is okay to release the binary is therefor a requirement I believe to protect GENIVI's trademark.
